What do I work on:
The ever-increasing size of experimental and observational data and the size of problems in first principle theoretical calculations force scientists off their desktops and onto computing clusters and more complicated distributed computing infrastructures. Mandating these scientists to learn and overcome technical challenges with computational infrastructure is a distraction from their science goals. Working with scientists from various disciplines, my main focus is to provide a user-centric view of computing resources while hiding the nitty gritty details of data management, application execution and lifecycle control, workflow orchestration, and emerging technologies like the Computational Grids and Clouds. I work alongside multidisciplinary experts in the field of eScience to developed web and service-based scientific gateways for individual research, collaboration, outreach, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
My Research Interests:
My broad research interests lie at the intersection of application domain science; high performance computing; distributed systems; service oriented architectures and scientific workflow systems.
