I've been involved with the Apache Software Foundation since 2000, where I helped with the Apache 2.0 Web server project, and oversaw it's use in one of the largest trafficked sites in the world.
I currently work at AOL where I lead several teams in the search infrastructure space, so you will see me lurking on the Lucene, Solr, Nutch, and Hadoop mailing lists.
