Why are there holes in the nightly builds?

The script that creates the nightly build archives tries to be smart and builds only a new snapshot and a patch if the CVS contents have actually changed. So if you have foo-20030810.tar.gz and foo-20030815.tar.gz, you can be sure that there were no changes in the CVS between 10th and 15th August. This helps to keep the number of snapshots down and avoids that in a quiet project you will have 30 identical archives if there was no activity for a month or so.
